Let's Clear a Few Things Up
What's the difference between a financial coach and a financial advisor?
A financial advisor manages investments and is licensed to give specific securities recommendations. I'm a financial coach — I help you understand your money, build better habits around it, and create a plan you can actually follow. Think of it this way: an advisor manages your money. A coach helps you become someone who manages it well.
Is this right for me if I'm in debt?
Yes — and it's not a reason to wait. Debt is one of the most common things we work on together. We'll look at what you owe, build a realistic paydown plan, and make sure you understand exactly what's happening with your money — without shame.
I feel a lot of shame around money. Is that okay?
More than okay — it's expected. Shame and avoidance around finances are some of the most common things we work through together. This is a completely judgment-free space, and the emotional side of money is a real part of the work, not something to push past.
I've tried budgeting apps and nothing has stuck — will this actually be different?
Yes — and here's why: apps show you what you spent, but they never ask why. Coaching goes underneath the behavior — the avoidance, the emotional spending, the patterns you've built up over time — and that's where real change happens. The goal isn't a perfect budget. It's a relationship with money that actually works for you.
Is this just budgeting help, or is there more to it?
Both. The practical work — budgets, debt, investing, building your net worth — is absolutely part of what we do. But so is the mindset work. How you think and feel about money shapes every financial decision you make. We work on both, because one without the other only gets you so far.
Do I need a certain amount saved before I start?
Not at all. There's no income threshold or savings balance required. If you have a computer, WiFi, and some form of income, you're ready. We start exactly where you are.
How do I know which package is right for me?
Focus is for someone who wants one intensive session to cut through the noise and walk away with a plan. Clarity is for someone ready to build momentum over three sessions. Growth is for someone who wants to go deeper and stay accountable over six sessions. Transformation is for someone ready to rebuild their relationship with money from the ground up over nine sessions. Still not sure? Book a free discovery call — we'll figure it out together.
Do you offer payment plans?
Growth and Transformation packages are available as two equal payments — half at booking, half 30 days later. Focus and Clarity are paid in full upfront. All packages are non-refundable once your agreement is in place.
How do sessions actually work?
Sessions are held over Zoom. Your first session is 90 minutes — that's our intake, where we map out where you are, what's keeping you stuck, and where you want to go. Every session after that is 60 minutes. Especially in the beginning, you'll leave most sessions with specific things to implement before we meet again.
Do I need to share my actual bank accounts or financial details?
You share what you're comfortable sharing. The more of your actual numbers I can see — income, expenses, debt, what you have saved — the more specific and hands-on our work together will be. If you'd rather keep the details private, that's completely fine. I can still walk you through exactly what to do with each piece of your finances — what to prioritize, how to approach it, what to watch for — you'd just implement the specifics on your end. Either way, we make it work.
How quickly will I see results?
It depends on where you're starting and what "results" means for you. Most clients leave the intake session with more clarity than they've had in years — that's immediate. Behavioral shifts, debt paydown, and real savings growth take longer. What I can promise: you'll always know what to do next, and you won't be doing it alone.
What if something comes up in the middle of my package?
Life happens. Every package has a grace period built in — if something unexpected comes up, we can pause and pick back up without starting over.
What happens when my package ends?
If you want to keep the momentum going, monthly maintenance is available in three tiers — Steady ($99/mo), Supported ($149/mo), or Committed ($199/mo) — depending on how much ongoing support you want. Some clients transition into maintenance after their package. Others feel ready to take it from there on their own. Either is great — no pressure, no hard sell.
